The Petfinder.com Foundation came in 2nd place in the Chase Community Giving project voting on Facebook...which means they will be receiving a $425,000 grant to expand the Rescue U program and fund further outreach efforts!  This amazing opportunity will allow Rescue U to educate more people, rescue more pets, and rehabilitate more underserved shelters.  You can just imagine what will happen when there are Rescue U clubs all over the country working to help shelters in their own communities!

We are preparing a very special newsletter for you about our recent trip to Kentucky.  We want you to be able to see all of the hard work that went into this last outreach.  Our humblest thanks go to everyone that helped keep the thrift store running in our absence, as well as the Rescue University students and Animal Lifeline volunteers who made the trek to Kentucky.  Most importantly, a very special thank you to The Petfinder.com Foundation, The Animal Rescue Site and BISSELL Homecare, Inc who not only sponsored the outreach efforts, but worked side by side with us, from planning to project execution, to make the most impact possible. 

In a few days we will follow up with trip information about the rescues that now have the Kentucky outreach adoptables, video, pictures, and stories.  For now, a group of exhausted volunteers are spending a few days of much needed R&R with friends and family.
